Chicago Cubs (30-24) @ Nevada Dusters (44-10)
June 3-5, 1963
Horizon Field (Las Vegas)
Cubs starter Larry Jackson has a fine outing, holding the Dusters to two runs on eight hits -- three of them by left fielder Hector Lopez -- in eight innings for a 4-2 Chicago victory.
Tony Oliva and Jerry Adair contribute solo homers to a 6-5 victory preserved by closer Bill Dailey, who strikes out Hank Aaron with two on in the 9th for his tenth save of the year.
Hank Aaron's 8th inning solo homer breaks a scoreless tie, but Tom Tresh and Clete Boyer answer with their own roundtrippers to provide the Dusters with a 3-1 victory.
